John Proctor: Hero or Stooge?

I feel John Proctor is a little bit on the hero side. He is brave enough to die for the truth, instead of being saved on false confession. Now that is what a real man is made of, standing up for the truth no matter what cause. But in this moment, it is of life and death. Personally, dying for the truth is something I would not consider because life is too vital to quit. Live it till the end, not waste your last moments imprisoned under the truth when you can be released by false confession. But Proctor has major guts to commit to his mind and what he believes in. Kudos to him though. I don't think people of my type would not be able to do so.

....And There Goes the Neighborhood

It was a sunny day that day, we were doing our daily rituals, hunting, farming, all that. Later that day, my father came across a group of men, a group of men I had never seen before. They were pale skinned, tall, skinny folk. They were not from around, I could tell. Their clothes were too exotic too recognize. They seem to be settling nearby us. Right outside our hut.

It has been a month, more than 400 people of their kind has moved into the area. They have chopped down a portion of our forest surrounding us. They have made housing with those materials. They seem friendly, but seem to take advantage of our people.

Its been a year, they outnumber us now. They mock our people, they have taken over. We do not stand a chance. They're big and strong. They murdered a few of our people, a few of us has gotten sick in contact with these people. They are trying to convert us to their religion. I am scared and I fear for my life because of these people.  They do not respect the land around us, they take advantage of us and chop down our forest. Our holy sacred forest.

Me in 200 words and more

I am Kyle Yu. I am a student of Whitney Young and I love music, sneakers, science. I was born in Chicago in the December of 1998 on the 28th. I grew up around the Chinatown area, then I moved farther away in Bridgeport where I now live. As a kid, my main focus on life was music, sports, and school. I loved music at a young age. I played the piano at age 4, and I still do. I listen to Hip Hop and R&B on a daily basis, but when I do homework, I stay close to my beginnings and listen to classical music. Music has affected my life in good and bad ways. I have won prizes and competition playing at competitions and I made a name for myself for a few years, but it drives me crazy. EDM has gotten me all hyped and crazy.

I love sports. Especially basketball and soccer. Soccer is my favorite sport considering I have been playing soccer since I was 5, and I love basketball because I played as long as I remember. Sports has been a crucial reason why I actually go outside. I'm so lazy often I don't want to do anything. But give me a basketball or a soccer ball, I'm gone. I play goalie or offense when I play soccer, and forward mainly when playing basketball.

Now school, it is part of everyone in America's lives at one point. Especially growing up in a very traditional Chinese family with high expectations. I like school surprisingly, maybe because I understand the value of education on a level not many people see. There are consequences to not doing good in school, and because I realize those consequences, I fear what happens if I make mistakes. I might just be really nerdy, but I try to work my hardest to avoid those problems in the future.
